Position Summary: The DSM will evaluate the performance of team members and for those who fail to meet standards will work to improve their performance or hire qualified replacements on a timely basis. He or she will not have direct responsibility for individual accounts, but will engage regularly with team members to work with key prospects and customers. The DSM will assign territories and/or market segments and work with team members to develop appropriate sales strategies for each. Responsibilities: Develop sales strategies that enable the organization to meet revenue and margin objectives established by senior management. Supervises activities of Sales Reps in the territory and ensures sales meet revenue and margin targets established by management. Assign sales territories, segments and books of business. Adjust sales staff compensation plans as necessary within established budgets. Hire appropriately skilled and experienced salespeople as necessary. Establish performance objectives, goals & quotas for sales staff that align with overall business objectives. Perform regular performance evaluations and create development plans for staff. Work with Operations and Customer Service management to ensure smooth coordination of business process with the Sales organization. Work with Marketing to improve lead generation and marketing communication. Maintains an ongoing training, coaching and mentoring program in order to develop the skills of sales personnel. Lead and coach sales reps on setting account strategies, creating sales plan, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, managing service delivery and assisting sales people with key customer accounts as needed. Effectively manages, maintains and ensures the use of United Site Services sales tools including CRM. Ensures entire Sales Representative Team is well trained and held accountable in the use of these tools. Provide regular reporting on sales effectiveness. Ensure sales leads are worked on a timely basis and that revenue from the leads is maximized. Assist sales team in securing business as necessary. Analyzes lost business trends and recommends corrective actions. Provides expert industry knowledge and interpretation of regulations to sales team and customers. Regularly meets with customer executives to ensure client needs are being met and expectations are exceeded. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Sales/Marketing preferred, plus minimum five (5) years of sales management to the construction industry. 2+ years supervising of managing a sales team to successfully reach goals 3+ years working with an enterprise CRM system both as a salesperson and supervisor The candidate will have a strong record of establishing and meeting challenging goals and solving difficult problems with strong interpersonal skills and creative ideas.
