Business Development Specialist - NurseAdvanced Healthcare Solutions is a major long-term care consulting company in Texas. We are consultants for 37 homes across the state. AHS offers a solid support system with regional consultants who provide support and training for the facilities. Each regional team is made up of consultants for nursing, business development/marketing, financial management, dietary services, reimbursement and ancillary management. The Regional Vice President is the leader of this group of knowledgeable professionals.
SUMMARY - Responsible for all aspects of the admissions process, including pre and post admission and follow up.
*Coordinate resident/patient referral and approval process. *Conduct tours of facility with potential residents/patients and their family members. *Ensure an 80% conversion ratio of tours to admissions. *Confer with appropriate medical and facility staff to coordinate and schedule admission of resident. *Assign accommodations for new admissions related to nursing care needs, resident and residents families preference, availability of space, and other information. Enters bed assignment information into computer. *Prepare records of admission, transfer, and other required data. *Maintain accurate financial records where appropriate. *Keep records of admissions and discharges, and compiles occupancy census data. *Maintain an accurate record of available beds and a patient waiting list. *Maintain confidentiality of all patient care information and records to ensure their rights are protected. *Interview resident or residents representative to obtain necessary personal and financial data to determine eligibility for admission.
Requirements:
Job Requirements EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
*is a practicing Nurse ( LVN, RN) *Prefer two years experience in healthcare sales/marketing/insurance or admissions. *Minimum high school diploma, two (2) year or four (4) year degree preferred. *Must have basic understanding of sales and marketing process. *Must be familiar with medical terminology. *Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Benefits
