Agency Account Director
ACCOUNT DIRECTOR
Location: Foster City
The Account Director is responsible for developing long-term relationships between Acxiom’s Integrated Agency and its clients. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Account Director will insure that the Agency consistently provides its clients with the strategic leadership needed to develop successful marketing and technology solutions.
Account Directors may be responsible for more than one client, depending on the size and complexity of each account. Assistance with managing a client portfolio may be provided by a Senior Account Manager and one or more Account Managers.
In this role your will also be responsible for the overall quality of the Agency’s products and services, as well the financial performance of its client relationships.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing
• Lead all Agency marketing initiatives and programs with clients
• Understand clients business goals and develop strategic recommendations for digital marketing and technology solutions to achieve goals
• Understand Acxiom’s offerings and translate to client’s needs
• Provide guidance in analyzing and solving client problems
• Identify and engage appropriate resources within, or in other Acxiom Digital offices (i.e. bring the appropriate resources to bear on the situation)
• Work with sales and vertical industry teams to develop sales presentations and proposals
Client Relationships
• Manage overall client expectations
• Share responsibility with Vertical Industry leader for client retention by proactively identifying client risks and opportunities and managing client teams to effectively respond to these client needs
Operations & Finance
• Ensure consistency between client contractual agreements and Acxiom’s deliverables
• Ensure the relationship between the Agency and its clients are profitable
• Provide timely and accurate forecasting of future revenue
• Monitor implementation and execution of client campaigns
Team Management
• Supervise reporting Senior Account Manager /Account Manager
- Train and coach SAM/AM’s in the development of stronger professional skills, including writing, presenting and problem-solving
- Review SAM/AM email data reports
- Review documents before they are sent out
- Help identify potential projects and sources of revenue
• Develop and foster team environment across the Agency’s functional areas
• Leads positive change and a creative, collaborative work environment; actively attracts, markets and recruits top talent for Acxiom
Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 7 +years work experience, in an agency or corporate environment providing client-facing support and services in the marketing world.
• Deep and proven experience in Direct Response marketing initiatives.
• Hands on experience developing and delivering CRM marketing programs across email, direct, website, display, social and mobile channels.
• Demonstrable ability to manage multiple complex and diverse clients.
• Strong leadership, writing, analytical and presentation skills are essential.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• Experience supervising a team and working in collaborative environments
Additional Qualifications:
• Advanced degree
