Sr. Technology Specialist Enterprise Account based in the GA/AL area. State & Local Government (SLG) Account Technology Specialist Team; Purpose: Drive enterprise account product sales by providing business solutions based upon Microsoft technical offerings. Responsibilities include: Analyze accounts business goals, identify sales opportunities, and propose cost-justified Microsoft technology-based strategies, plans and solutions; develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with the accounts senior-level technical decision makers; contribute to a virtual team comprised of Microsoft account executives, solutions sales, product specialists, professional services and support, product development and Partners to close sales opportunities; influence product development and direction; share best practices within accounts and team; and mentor junior staff.
A successful ATS demonstrates clear and effective communication with partners/customers, establishes and maintains strong working relationships with customers and partners to close sales opportunities, articulates strategies with an understanding of both the customer's business and competitive landscape, demonstrates excellent listening skills, is passionate about customer satisfaction, delivers highly effective strategic presentations to audiences of all sizes - including the largest and most technically and competitively challenging, and participates in joint account planning with top services partners when needed. The ATS demonstrates success by using Solution Selling methodologies, the Sales Execution Framework, and driving for success to overcome all obstacles.
The position is located in GA and covers the states of GA, AL, SC and NC.
Required Qualifications include: 7+ years information technology industry experience to include strong enterprise-scale solutions architecture and implementation; significant technical breadth across networking, messaging, database and applications; extensive strategic planning, risk analysis and business justification; significant CXO contact and persuasive presentations; strong virtual teaming; practical knowledge of Microsoft enterprise technology or competitive strategies and solutions; exceptional leadership, negotiation, organizational, creative, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills; and the ability to travel on a moderate basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of and/or experience in the State & Local Government segment Microsoft or competing platform backend server technical skills more than one of the following areas: Infrastructure: Security, Windows Server, Active Directory, Systems Center Server Database: SQL Server, BI, Data Warehousing, Performance Point Server Integration: BizTalk Server, Host Integration Server Portals/Collaboration: SharePoint Portal Server, Exchange Server, Unified Communications Server, Virtual Earth MCSE, MCSD or MCDBA certification or equivalent in non-Microsoft technologies.
