Account Representative
Account Representative Reporting to the General Manager, Ven-Rez has a unique and evolving position with responsibility for sales growth. This involves direct territory sales and customer service responsibility in Newfoundland and Ontario with a support role in additional provinces as well as in the Shelburne, Nova Scotia office. This position is primarily a selling function, but will also involve project management, product development, and special marketing projects and occasionally, field assistance on installations. This is an excellent opportunity for a up and coming sales-oriented individual to make an impact and quickly expand his/her influence in the company's sales and marketing efforts. Key Success Factors: Ven-Rez is looking for attitude rather than experience. The individual will be focused, driven and ambitious. You may be inexperienced, but you have a mature attitude and can handle independence responsibly. You have above average intelligence and are quick to learn. You genuinely enjoy people and are patient and empathetic. You understand that the customer is king and must be serviced accordingly. You are available and prepared to spend long periods away from home, which occasionally includes weekends, and most likely, will extend beyond 9-5. A company car and an expense budget are provided. Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Undergraduate degree in a business discipline Strong academic results; awards; recognitions, etc. A range of activities outside of school (clubs, sports, charities, etc) A solid work history, during and post university, ideally in a customer service role (retail, restaurant, call centre, etc) Experience in a formal sales role would be considerate an asset Responsible, ethical Enthusiastic, results driven personality Self motivated, entrepreneurial Strong problem solving skills with the ability to turn a problem into an opportunity High level communication skills - verbal, written and presentation Exceptional interpersonal skills; genuinely enjoys people Excellent organizational skills including the ability to multitask and prioritize Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Acquired by The Shaw Group of Companies in 2006, Ven-Rez Products is an Atlantic Canadian company that has been manufacturing, selling, and distributing quality institutional furniture products for more than 60 years.
