Account Director- Marketing Communications Firm
Our client is an integrated strategic communications firm located in Chicago – due to growth from account driven from the city of Chicago they are seeking an Account Director who will act as a liaison between agency and client, candidate must have strong command of marketing strategy, program and campaign management, and customer relationship management. This is an opportunity that has dual responsibilities to be a strong agency/client advocate as well as being able to strategically direct the project throughout the agency.
Responsibilities:
Act as lead point person for marketing campaigns, including planning, execution, and production of marketing materials and efforts
Direct program functions as they relate to marketing plans and campaigns
Manage agencies, groups and teams involved with marketing functions, including planning, research, creative, communications, advertising, public relations, events, production and media
Supervise internal marketing team, coordinating with PR and community relations team
Administer client meeting process and take responsibility for conference reports
Monitor timelines for key deliverables and milestones
Oversee marketing budget and cost line items with team as required
Requirements
Senior level agency experience in account and project management roles
Big plus- managing government agency clients
Facility in managing client expectations, budgets, and deadlines
Excellent project management skills; proven ability to take projects from inception to completion in print and digital channels
Ability to handle large budgets in coordination with digital and print production
Strong capacity to lead a team, develop direct reports and foster effectiveness and growth
Demonstrated ability to translate marketing communication strategy into tactical plans
Experience with audience segmentation and connecting that segmentation into appropriate channel communications
