The Account Director position is located in Boston,MA. There is approximately up to 50% travel during busy months but less on average. The global travel would be to London, Singapore, Amsterdam, Beijing, Brazil and Toronto.
As a senior member of the Professional Services team, the Account Director is responsible for the client relationship, overseeing and ensuring excellence in operations, service and management, with the goal of achieving operational efficiency and profitability. The Account Director provides leadership, coaching, and career development to Account Managers and Program Managers. Additionally, the Account Director is focused on providing direction and guidance on strategy and creating opportunities for program development and expansion. The Account Director participates in shaping and promoting key corporate initiatives.
Role Specific Competencies:
Client - - Oversees global operations, maintaining excellence in service levels, relationship management - Long-term strategic planning/short-term issue resolution support - Ability to communicate with contacts at all levels - Understands the client environment, key business drivers, and proactively provides solutions contributing to their success - Provides insight and education about e-mail channel and/or competitor e-mail marketing practices - Ability to forge new relationships and business opportunities

Required Qualifications: - 10+ years experience with 5+ years in managerial account service role within an e-mail or database marketing environment, - Solid leadership abilities; including resource management and resource development skills - Global relationship management a plus - Strong technical acumen/database marketing - Strong written and oral presentation skills - Budget management
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's in Marketing /communications; MBA a plus
